Theme Parks

Like accommodations, theme parks have begun taking note of the number of travelers who include the family pet in their travel plans. In so doing, any attraction wishing to attract those visitors must make some accommodation for the pets. In that vein, we located two theme parks which allow pets in their parks, Stone Mountain near Atlanta, GA and Buckskin Joe Frontier Town & Railway in Royal Gorge, CO. The amount of pet involvement varies greatly with Buckskin Joe's allowing pets in every attraction, except one, and on all rides. Many other parks, although not allowing pets in the parks, have on-site kennels available. Click on a park's name/location to see its pet policy. The information is garnered from the park's website and/or by telephone interview. While the policies are accurate as of the time included on the web page, they are subject to change by the park without notice.

Information is compiled on national theme parks first, after which we will include like information for regional parks.

As we are able we will continually update this page, so please check back often and be sure to check back before departing on a theme park adventure. Check the date at the bottom of the page for the last update.
